Christmas Concert 2021

Again, despite Covid, omicron, chicken pox, winter vomiting Ardagh Music Room students managed to work through Christmas carols and songs, own choice pieces, exam pieces and plenty of surprises in between and put together a Christmas Concert for 2021 – link to the concert HERE

We had a mixture of online and live performances and have most of them included in the video.

The programme included; The Harmonious Blacksmith, Je te laisserai des mots, La valse d’Amélie, Katy’s Dance, Jackson Street Blues, Brother, Barbed Wire Blues, Will-o’-the-Wisp. With pieces from recent exams including; At the Smithy, Study in A minor, Sonatina, Study in C, Gavotte and Bumblebee’s Escape.

We have a couple of pieces played by 2 of our Grade-1-a-thon students who completed the Music Network Challenge to sit their Grade 1 last Summer.

Thanks for Longford County Council and Longford Live & Local for their support as well as Ballycloghan Hall for their hospitality on the night and thanks to all Ardagh Music Room students for their dedication and playing throughout the year!
